Now, the Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial and the Planet Ocean are engaged in their own battle at the top of Omega’s steel-diver catalogue. I was able to visit my local Omega boutique the other day, and while they had the standard Seamaster 300 (42mm), they did not have the 39.5mm Planet Ocean for me to try (they only had the 43.5mm). My question is, has anyone tried both the 39.5mm PO and compared it to the Seamaster 300? I prefer the hands on the planet ocean. I believe you have the same functionality of clasp and movement. If you can pull off the larger and wider planet ocean that would be cool.

Went in to the Omega Boutique last week to see the newly arrived Seamaster 300. Tried it on and I was very impressed apart from one major flaw, the bezel is very hard to turn. The scalloped edge design make it hard to grip. While it looks good and its thin profile fits my wrist well, the bezel shape is a design flaw.The Seamaster 300m has a great water resistance but it pales in comparison to the Planet Ocean 600m which has twice the resistance and can therefore be taken to greater depths underwater than the SM 300.
