The case measures 42mm wide, and shares almost the same exact profile like the Speedmaster. It has lyre twisted lugs with the lug width of 20mm (my personal favourite size), and the asymmetrical case, having the right side being thicker that serves as a "crown guard".
However, the Planet Ocean is actually 0.4 mm longer from lug to lug and wider from 2:00 to 8:00 by 1.5 mm. BRACELET Bracelet Dimensions (in mm):
Omega did make a change to the bracelet, which now integrates to the case in a way that allows the watch to fit better on the wrist rather than falling past the lugs. The first center link on either lug is shorter, which allows for a better fit on the wrist as well. the 39.5 has a lug to lug of of 45mm which is just over 1-3/4inch the 43 has a lug to lug of 49mm which 1-15/16inch just shy of 2.
The 39.5mm Planet Ocean is an odd dive watch in the sense that in some angles it appears large and other angles it looks small. As I’ve said on another thread, my only complaint with the watch itself is the lug-to-lug distance is small . Size-wise, this version of the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m is 39.5mm wide, 14.2m thick, and has a 45.6mm lug-to-lug distance. Aside from the thickness (which can’t be helped and is part of the overall personality of this piece), that is a pretty small footprint on the wrist for a serious diver’s watch.
