The strange thing is that if you have the watch expanded over your four fingers the same way as before (dial UP) and the tilt the watch from the "Position twelve o'clock" to "Position six o'clock", then I do NOT get the "KLICK-KLICK" noise. The rotor was whirling away and making a rather loud scraping noise. I've never been one to shake my watch to wind it, but I've never noticed this sound from my GMT, Omega or IWC. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Has anyone with a SD43 noticed this? Or any other Rolex/ automatic watch? My healthy Rolex cal's 3135 and 3185 make no noise whatever nohow. However, I have had noisy Rolex movements in the past and it turned out to be a worn rotor bushing. This movement has no central jewel like many other watches but a bronze bushing that is prone to wear if not serviced. Never correct the date on any calendar movement between 9pm and 3am even on brands that claim that it's OK or "not to worry about it". Rolex uses a spring relief on the calendar advance wheel that still takes additional force on the calendar disc and corrector wheels to .
Or, another possibility would be that the squeaky noise doesn't come from the bracelets, but from the wrists. I, for one, never had a squeaky sound coming from my Rolexes; has anyone researched wrists squeaky noises?
